It is not possible to separate the history of the brand with Spanish history: from nationalisation during the civil War to the lucky encounter with Yves Saint Laurent, Castaner has been able to resist industrialization, becoming – from the 1970s onwards – the first Shoe company to realize the Espadrilla with the wedge.In 1994 the first shop was opened in Barcelona and the brand goes to global expansion.As symbol of tradition and innovation, Castaner continues to be a timeless espadrillas signature.
